Concealer Review

Concealer Review (3)I love trying new makeup products – especially drug store and high-end makeup products that are comparable. I’ve used IT Cosmetic’s Bye Bye Under Eye for about 2 years and a few months ago I bought Maybelline’s Master Conceal to see how they compare.

While there is an upfront investment, high-end products typically have a lot more to offer in their formula / ingredients. Most importantly, how the products wear throughout the day or how long the actual product lasts.

The IT Cosmetic’s concealer lasts all day while the Maybelline concealer lasts most of the day. I noticed my dark circles showing through towards the end of the day when I used Maybelline’s concealer. However, the IT Cosmetic’s Bye Bye Under Eye looks the same at 10:00 PM when I’m washing my face before bed than it did when I applied it at 6:30 AM getting ready for work.

A lot of this has to do with the formula and consistency of the product. The Master Conceal concealer has a runny formula and offers less coverage. The Bye Bye Under Eye concealer has a thicker formula that offers increased coverage using less product. Better formula / ingredients, less product, more coverage. Win, win, win.

Do you have any other products that you would be interested in reading reviews on? Mascara? Foundation? Eye shadow? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I’ve been on the search for a new concealer! I’ll have to check these out :). Would love to see a post about your favorite mascara/ mascara pairings, have you ever tried a “high-end” mascara? Is it any better than drug store or is my maybelline “the rocket” just as good?

    1. I think you would really like the IT Cosmetics concealer 🙂 They make a travel size that would be perfect to try! I will do a post on mascara, thanks for the idea! I’ve tried quite a few (drugstore and high end) and definitely have some favs!
